sincerely, it was a very relaxing stay for a better overall holiday experience. walking distance to a bus station, the location was beautiful and excellent, right near the ferry port. we enjoyed rooms with a brand new bathroom.

Spotless and absolutely fantastic room plus a private safe, air conditioner, and TV. A bath in the bathroom.

The location was amazing, very close to Chora, restaurants, cafes, and the supermarket. Units with a brand new bathroom. - the staff was extraordinarily friendly the whole time of my stay.

I chose Villa Mata specifically because of its close proximity to Tzamaria Beach and Skarkos, two landmarks I wanted to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free shuttle service provided by the hotel. Additionally, I enjoyed the convenience of the shared kitchen and the additional amenities such as concierge services and barbecue grills.

Room was small and hot. Problem with thermal isolation.

The hotel had a lovely and cozy decor that made me feel right at home. I especially enjoyed the common areas, which were beautifully decorated and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was excellent, with easy access to all areas of the hotel and no stairs to climb. It made my stay comfortable and relaxing.

I would have appreciated a stand for the shower head in the room. It would have made showering easier for senior people.

Apologies for the delay in writing this review. We stayed at Villa Mata during our summer holiday and we were not disappointed. The room was spacious and clean, with a small terrace with table and chairs, and a daily cleaning service. There was a communal kitchen in the garden; very handy if you don’t want to spend every evening eating out. The location of the place is perfect – a short walk from the port, beach, shops, and restaurants, but still in a quiet area. The best surprise was Lambros, the owner. He is extremely welcoming and helps with any problems or questions you might have. I recommend Villa Mata without any hesitation.

Perfectly situated near the Port of Ios, this family owned and operated hotel provided us with an amazing stay. Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The outdoor patio and mini kitchen were a nice bonus. The owner, Lambros, was a fantastic host, giving us great tips and making us feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and great value.
